What Is Enclave Marketing?

In 2016 was the start of Enclave Marketing… or at least something similar. We weren’t quite sure what it was going to be, but we were excited about it. It started out as a little something to do on the side of our current careers and has now turned into a full-time gig for both of us.

But, I’m getting ahead of myself. First off, let me introduce you to my business partner, best friend, and brother, Luke Anderson. Yes, I own a business with a family member ( a sibling no less!). We seem to make it work… so far!

 

Luke is extremely talented in many areas. But, where he strives the most is with people. He is the definition of a people person. So, naturally he is the one who reaches out to businesses, networks, and communicates with the outside world. Me? I usually stay behind the computer and do what I do best, the operations side of things! I like to say that he finds the clients and I’m the one who keeps them!

The Idea

So, Enclave Marketing. This little brainchild was just a thought that has turned into something much more. We started with just a few random clients who we knew through connections we had. We didn’t even have a business name at the start. So, no it wasn’t a registered business yet either!

 

We weren’t quite sure what this would turn into, but we did it anyways! Sometimes your dreams aren’t so much what you end up doing, but how you end up doing it!

 

At first is was called 406 Social. Pretty cool right? For those we don’t live in Montana, 406 is the ony area code in the entire state. It’s used pretty often in branding and promotions nowadays. So, turns out it wasn’t that original. We tried a few other names and finally landed on Enclave Marketing. I’m pretty sure Luke can up with it because he likes cars and thought of the Buick Enclave… but we ran with it!

 

The official definition of Enclave is:

en·clave

NOUN

  • a place or group that is different in character from those surrounding it.

We wanted to show we were different than those large and impersonal agencies. Enclave seemed to express that pretty well.

 

What Is Enclave Marketing?

What do we actually do you ask? Well, we help local businesses expand their customer base by growing their online and social media presence. 

That means we create social campaigns, schedule email marketing, manage social media accounts, create websites, write blog posts, create social media content, work on SEO, do graphic design, and consult in these areas as well. The list of services keep growing. I’m not sure if that is a good thing or not. But, we’ll get it figured out.

 

Where To Go From Here

As I am writing this, we are still in growth mode. We are still working on getting more clients. We are still not to our first major goal yet. But, that doesn’t mean we aren’t going to keep working towards it. So if it interests you, follow along on my journey of growing this business with my brother! I will share the ups and downs… the failures and the triumphs… all in hopes that it will inspire and help someone else on this crazy journey of entrepreneurship!
